Located only 100km west of Bangkok, Ratchaburi Province is a popular weekend destination for Bangkokians thanks to its beautiful scenery and numerous attractions from Damnoen Saduak floating market to Suan Phueng district with its themed resorts and sheep farms. It’s also holding a festival this weekend.

Famed for its beautifully designed water jars, the province are holding a special festival called “Visit Ratchaburi, the City of Water Jars” on Mar 7-13. Taking place around Ratchaburi Town Hall, the event will feature fun activities like cultural performances, a Muay Thai show, food fair and local products for sale. While you are there, visit Wat Khanon in Photharam district to see the traditional nang yai leather puppet performances, performed every Saturday. There are also beautiful caves and waterfalls to explore too. BK
